We’ll be attending Stitches MidWest for the 3rd time August 4-6, 2017. Stitches MidWest was the first “big” show we attended and will always be special to us as a result.
This year we have invited Canadian dyer, Rhichard Devrieze, to join us in our booth. In addition to being a terrific dyer, he knows how to have a lot of fun! Stop in to say hello and then choose a cocktail-inspired shawl kit among 7 of the most popular favorites. Cosmo? Tequila Sunrise? Blue Lagoon? I don’t know...just make mine a Martini!
Of course we’ll have a great assortment of yarn, patterns, samples and kits for you. If you want to get ahead of the crowd and be ready to shop Yarn Culture first, keep reading for our show highlights!
As fun as Rhichard’s Raise the Bar Kits are – that’s certainly not all he’s bringing! He’ll have Lucky Day Cowl/Scarf kits (chose your birthstone color) and Timeline Shawl kits (think family birthstone necklace – so fun!). Best of all, he’s bringing a fantasticassortment of his signature Peppino Fingering and Thede, a lovely merino/nylon blend.
We’ve fallen HARD for Primrose Yarn Company! Stop in early for the best selection of Sophia and Adelaide open stock as well as 3-color and 4-color kits in Adelaide. Need pattern ideas? We’ll have patterns by Andrea Mawry and Ambah O’Brien that feature fade combinations. I’ll also have a finished sample and kits for the Kimba Shawl by Ambah O’Brien – my first (and not last) ‘fade”.
Periwinkle Sheep was a HUGE hit last year and we are back with three lines of yarn and a great new kit featuring Sport Wolle. Goldfinch by Andrea Mawry is fun and straightforward to knit. And given the way it’s constructed, you never have more than 170 stitches on your needles. That’s a shawl I can sign up for! How about you?
Stay tuned for PART 2 of our Stitches features!
