Join us in Sweden! June 3-13, 2027

We’re delighted to announce our next Yarn Culture adventure!

Sweden • June 3–13, 2027

A 10-night creative journey through Sweden with Åsa Tricosa, designed for knitters who love exploring beautiful places, learning new skills, and connecting with fellow makers.

After our wonderful travels together in Denmark, we're excited to join Åsa Tricosa in her home country of Sweden! We've created an itinerary that blends inspiring knitting workshops, yarn and textile experiences, Swedish culture, beautiful landscapes, and plenty of time to knit.

With Åsa traveling alongside us throughout the journey, we'll have the added pleasure of discovering Sweden through the eyes of someone who knows it best.

✨ What Awaits You

We'll begin in southern Sweden, exploring Malmö and historic Lund, where we'll enjoy workshops with Åsa Tricosa—a favorite designer and longtime friend of Patti's and Yarn Culture. Our knitting experiences will focus on Åsa's innovative Ziggurat construction techniques, with opportunities to deepen your skills and explore new ideas.

From there, we'll travel north to Gothenburg, Sweden's lively west coast city, before continuing through the beautiful Swedish countryside to Vadstena, a charming historic town on the shores of Lake Vättern.

Our journey concludes with three nights in Stockholm, where historic neighborhoods, stunning waterways, museums, Scandinavian design, and wonderful shops and cafés await.

Along the way, we'll visit thoughtfully selected yarn shops and makers, discover Swedish wool and textile traditions, and experience the culture, history, and landscapes that make Sweden so special.

Throughout the journey, we'll stay in carefully selected upscale hotels, travel by private coach, enjoy wonderful meals, and make time to knit, relax, and savor the long days of early Swedish summer.

Full details—including the daily itinerary, accommodations, workshops, pricing, and what's included—are available on our trip webpage.

✨ Group Size & Accommodations

We travel as a small group of approximately 20–22 guests, allowing for a personal and relaxed experience. We'll stay in thoughtfully selected hotels in Malmö, Gothenburg, Vadstena, and Stockholm, each offering comfort, character, and a wonderful base for exploring.

Single occupancy is available, and a limited number of double rooms are offered for travelers registering with a roommate.

✨ Optional Add-Ons

For knitters who would like to refresh their Ziggurat skills before the trip, we're planning an optional six-hour refresher workshop with Åsa on June 2.

We're also offering an optional two-night Österlen Exploration, June 13–15, for those who would like to discover more of southern Sweden, a region known for its charming villages, coastal landscapes, artists, and makers.

Details and pricing for these optional experiences are available or will be updated on our trip webpage.

✨ We Hope You'll Join Us!

Traveling with Åsa is always a special experience, and exploring her home country together promises to make this journey even more memorable. With a wonderful mix of knitting, culture, creativity, and discovery, we're looking forward to sharing Sweden with a small group of fellow makers.

We'd love to have you join us!

Warmly,
Patti
