What are your Shipping and Customer Service hours?

The Yarn Culture Shipping and Customer Service department is open between 10am-3pm Monday-Friday.  The best way to contact us is via email at customerservice@yarnculture.com.

We are not open on the weekends.  In addition we are not open holidays or other days when the USPS is closed.

How quickly do you ship orders?

We ship online orders Monday-Friday between 10am and 3pm Eastern time. Orders are often packed to ship the same day they are received and no later than 48 hours for in-stock items. We will contact you via the email address you provide with your order in cases where there is an out of stock item or a dyelot issue.

We find that USPS is typically the fastest and least expensive option for shipping most orders. We usually ship first class or priority mail for domestic orders. Books are the exception. Book orders cannot be combined with other orders and ship media mail which can take 5-7 days, but is much less expensive.

Can I add items to an order I already placed or combine orders?

Unfortunately, we cannot add items to your order without getting your credit card information again. If you would like to add an item to your order please contact us at customerservice@yarnculture.com. If your order has not yet been packed to ship, we are happy to process payment for the additional item (s) on the phone and add the items to your shipment. If your order has already been packed, we will have to process a second order. 

The shipping department does look to see if there are multiple orders going to the same address and when possible we do pack them together if none of the orders has already been packed for shipping. Unfortunately we cannot refund shipping costs for combined orders due to the high fees charged by credit card companies.

Why can’t I add yarn to my book order?

Since books are heavy, the most cost effective way for us to ship them is via media mail.
