Construction

Riptide Slipover is worked in one piece, from the top down. Beginning with the back, the neck and shoulders are knit and shaped in one piece and worked flat to the underarm. Front shoulder stitches are then picked up from the back cast on edge and the front is worked flat to same back length. At underam, extra stitches are cast on and the front and back are joined for working in the round to the split hem. The neckband is worked last by picking up neckline stitches.
Notes:
There is a visual in Appendix A for the back and left front shoulder.
You can lengthen this garment by knitting more body length before commencing the hem. Try on as you go and adjust accordingly. Please note that extra yarn will be required if you knit the body length longer. See Appendix B.
