PATTERN DETAILS

The sample shown uses a different yarn. We have substituted Pascuali Sole.  Although it is considered a sport-weight yarn, we successfully swatched the yarn to meet the gauge of this pattern on the suggested needles.

33.5 (35.75, 39.5, 42.5, 45.5) (48.5, 51.5, 54.5, 57.25, 60.25)"
Suggested fit is approx 0-3" positive ease)

Construction

Riptide Slipover V-neck is worked in one piece, from the top down. Commencing with the back, the neck and shoulders are knit and shaped in one piece and worked flat to the underarm. Front shoulder stitches are then picked up from the back cast on edge and the front is worked flat to same back length. At underarm, extra stitches are cast on and the front and back are joined for working in the round.
The body can be worked straight or there is a waist shaping option, to the hem, where there is a further option working a split or non-split hem in broken rib.
The neckband may be worked at any point after the upper front is complete.

NOTE:  This is a cropped length garment. You can lengthen this garment by knitting more body length before commencing the hem. Try on as you go and adjust accordingly. Please note that extra yarn will be required if you knit the body length longer. See Appendix B in the pattern. One extra ball should be sufficient to add approximately 3" to the largest size.
