Month of Socks - Global Knit A-long hosted by The Fibre Company
The Fibre Co will be kicking off their first Month of Socks on June 1st, featuring a brand new knit-along including video tutorials and fabulous prizes.

Daphne will start things off by telling us about making the perfect sock yarn. Kate Atherly will chat about the One Sock pattern, and finally Renée Callahan will describe how the KAL (and the prizes!) will work. This will be a fun introduction to the KAL for knitters, but for those who need a little more help with their cast on, the first video tutorial covering needle arrangements and how to cast on will come out on 2nd June.
Knitters must only do one of two things to be able to take part in the KAL and to win prizes. You must either knit any sock pattern using Amble yarn or you may knit the One Sock Pattern using any yarn. (and of course you can knit the One Sock pattern using Amble!!)
Yarn Culture has put together some terrific kits using Amble Yarn for both the One Sock Pattern as well as some of our favorite sock patterns.
The #TheFibreCoOneSockKAL Schedule
Any sock knitter can participate in #TheFibreCoOneSockKAL as long as they are 1. knitting the One Sock Pattern in any yarn OR 2. knitting any sock pattern with Amble yarn. The Fibre Co is making an extra effort to help newbie sock knitters out with tutorials, kits and encouragement, but even experienced sock knitters are welcome to knit any sock pattern they would like as long as they are using Amble yarn.

2nd June Video: Getting Started
4th June Video: Heel
9th June Video: Heel
15th June Video: Foot
22nd June Video: Finishing
30th June: Last day to post your finished sock to enter for the prize draw
2nd July: Winners for fabulous prizes chosen
Early July: Prizes sent out to winners
How to participate
The Fibre Co is hosting the KAL in Ravelry, Facebook and Instagram. You can join in any of these places and knit along, access the video tutorials and enter to win prizes at the end of the KAL.
No matter where you join in, here's what you need to do. Post in the group chat telling about what pattern you will use and what colorway. Comment and encourage other knitters. Show your beautiful yarn and progress photos! This is the place to chat and encourage each other with the #TheFibreCoOneSockKAL. Post a photo of your finished sock (a One Sock in any yarn, or an Amble sock in any pattern) before 30th June and you will be entered in our prize draw.
