Join us in January when we’ll be knitting Ainu by Isabell Kraemer. Using Big Merino Hug by Rosy Green Wool this shawl is perfect for the colder temperatures of winter. The pattern calls for three skeins of this heavy worsted/light aran weight yarn and moves along quickly on a US 10 needle (or the size you need to get gauge). Ainu is worked from the left edge beginning with a simple lace pattern then incorporates garter stitch as it grows until the end of the shawl.
Brenda will be leading our KAL. Since this is an easy charted pattern, she’ll be providing help for knitters who are new to reading knitting charts. She’ll also be available to answer questions and help you if you encounter a bump along the way.
As with all our KALs there is no fee for participating, but you must purchase your yarn for the shawl from Yarn Culture. Hard copy patterns of Ainu are available at Yarn Culture or on Ravelry if you prefer .PDF copies.
Registration for this KAL is open now. Register by email to Dawn (firstname.lastname@example.org) or stop in or call the shop at 585.678.4894.
