There is nothing quite like a true wardrobe staple: A sweater light enough to wear all year, with a flattering drape, a slightly oversized fit and a simple design with a twist.
OUR KIT INCLUDES
- YARN: Caravan by Crave Yarn (354 yds/100g; light sport; 70% Superwash Extrafine Merino, 10% Mulberry Silk, 10% Camel, 10% Cashmere)
- 3-7 skeins based on selected size. Please make note the bust size give is for the FINISHED circumference. The second number is the length. See our hints about lengths in our sizing notes.
This sweater is intended to be worn with 6-12” of positive ease. Please select a bust size equal to your actual bust size PLUS the amount of positive ease you prefer. Sample shown is Size 50 including 8” positive ease and a length of 21”.
- Mini toolkit including 8 light bulb stitch markers and Yarn Culture Stitch Minder Cords.
- Option to add 1 or 2 extra skeins for additional length or security.
- Optional Pattern Add-on: Digital copy (via Ravelry); provide your Ravelry username or email address to receive your pattern.
Note: While we make every effort to have adequate stock on hand, it may be the case that we will need to dye-to-order. In that case, we will be able to ship your order in 2-3 weeks. Please leave a note when you place your order if you would like to be notified in this case.

CONSTRUCTION
Gridlines is knit sideways from the center out with a seamless modular construction and size inclusive Mix & Match sizing: You can chose and combine any of the 7 circumferences (1-7), 7 lengths (a-g), 3 neckline options (S-L) and even customize the sleeve circumference to create your perfect sweater fit. We have included an image with the detailed size/yardage requirements. Please use TOTAL YARDS and not skeins to determine how much yarn you need. We have recalculated the number skeins of yarn required
for our kit using the yardage for CARAVAN which has 350 yds/sk. Please contact patti@yarnculture.com if you need help.

Finished Size: Mix & Match Sizing: Combine any of the 7 Circumference (1-7), 7 Lengths (a-g) and 3 neckline options (S, M, L) - please refer to image of size chart.
When you chosing your desired sweater length, as a general rule:
Crop: 17-18.5”
Ends at Top of Belt loops: 21-22.5”
Average length sweater: 22.5 – 24.5”
Long Sweater: 26.1 – 27.5”
IMPORTANT: This sweater is intended to be worn with 6-12” of positive ease. Please select a bust size equal to your actual bust size PLUS the amount of positive ease. Sample shown is Size 50 including 8” positive ease and a length of 18.5”.
NEEDLES
US 4/3.5 mm circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge and optimal drape);
optional: DPNs of same size for sleeves
NOTE: We achieved gauge using the recommended needle size.
GAUGE (after blocking):
26 sts / 36 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch (measured after blocking).
We suggest you measure your watch both before AND after blocking. Gauge has an influence on the size of your finished garment and your yardage!
