by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne
Tangerine Sky is an asymmetrical triangle-shaped shawl, worked on the bias. It features all Nadia’s favorite design elements: garter stitch, stripes and lace. This pattern is perfect for adventurous beginners who are comfortable knitting multiple stitches together (k2tog and k3tog) and manipulating slipped stitches (dec 5). Nadia’s technique instructions are extremely clear making them easy to execute even if the technique is unfamiliar. More experienced knitters will enjoy the alternating sections of striped garter and easy-going lace pattern which is easily memorized. She finishes the pattern with a beautiful picot bind-off. For knitters who prefer a simpler edge, a stretchy bind off can be substituted. The pattern is both written and charted.
We were inspired to pair this fabulous design with Balayage by Pascuali Filati Naturali.
