Tamdou is worked flat from the right tip towards the left edge. Latticed lace sections are interspersed with garter stitch stripes, and a splash of picot in a contrast color binds off the edge. Tamdou is designed to make the most of three skeins of Cumbria Fingering, and to leave over as few as possible. So to make sure you don’t run out of yarn, please check your gauge. If you find you run close, you can simply leave out pattern repeats towards the end of the shawl - that won’t change its overall look.
