CONSTRUCTION
Pidu is worked from the bottom up. You start at the brim with a long-tail tubular cast-on in the contrast color and continue with the 2x2 ribbing. The stitch count is then increased for the body to start the color-work pattern. Centered double decreases are included in the color work chart to finish the hat with a beautiful crown shaping.  

SIZING
Small: 18-20"
Medium: 20-22"
Large: 22-24"

NEEDLES 
4 mm (US 6) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle
4.5 mm (US 7) 40 cm (16 in) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge

GAUGE (after Blocking)
24 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) over Colorwork Pattern with 4.5 mm (US 7) needles after blocking
