Rosy Green Wool has extended the standard palette for Cheeky Merino Joy and Big Merino Hug. The neutral colours Taupe and Wood are of a medium lightness and complement the grey and brown shades nicely. They form a beautiful base for combinations with our brighter and darker colours. The subtle shades Peony and Air lighten up the palette and inspire us with new shawl combinations and modern garments for babies and children.
Peony is a very subtle pink shade with a touch of grey. This totally new colour is cooler and more pale than Cherry Blossom of our Limited Edition 2 and stunning for example together with our grey- and violet shades.
Air, from our Limited Edition 5, is a subtle pale blue with a tiny hint of turquoise. It offers many exciting possibilities like for example the combination with Taupe and Sunflower – even just placing these skeins next to each other makes us happy.
Taupe, from our Limited Edition 5, is a soft shade of grey with a touch of brown (in contrast to the clear grey Isar Pebble). It's a dream to combine with almost all our other colours.
Wood is also a brand-new color. This elegant brown is lighter than Coffee Bean. Its beautiful smokey look makes it ideal not only as a neutral base for multi-coloured shawls, but also for entire cardigans and sweaters.
Inspired by the vast sea and impressive cliffs of Helgoland (a famous German island in the North Sea), Melanie Berg (mairlynd) has designed this asymmetrical triangle shawl for our yarn line Cheeky Merino Joy. A wide swath features a two-colour stitch that is easy to knit and looks lovely from both sides, while a striking contrast garter section creates interest. Three small tassels add a fun touch to this beautiful design with its sea-and-sand-inspired colour palette.
