by Theresa Shingler
The first sweater pattern for our vintage yarn Manx Merino Fine from rare sheep! Betagen by designer Theresa Shingler @theresashinglerknits is part of our first own collection 2020 with the theme Joy. And joy is guaranteed while knitting the gorgeous chevron pattern. For Betagen, we have chosen the heathered grey shades Rock and Thunderstorm for a particularly elegant, timeless look. The sweater is knitted seamlessly, which not only eliminates the need for sewing together but also gives the sophisticated pattern a continuously beautiful look.
This pullover is worked in the round from the bottom up. Starting from the hem and sleeve cuffs, the body and sleeves are worked separately up to the underarms where they are joined to create the yoke. Decreases are worked into the chevron pattern to decrease the yoke from the underarms to the neckline. Short rows are worked in the yoke to raise the back neck. The underarms are grafted last.
