Abraxas Crescent
by Åsa Tricosa
Åsa’s design process in a nutshell: If I love how this pattern looks, what will happen if I …. change the yarn? change the shape? change the garment?
That was the design evolution for the Abraxas series. When Åsa launched her Abraxis Cardigan at Vogue Knitting Live in 2019, I distinctly remember her comment that the hourglass pattern would make a beautiful shawl. So, it was no surprise when Åsa designed the Abraxas Crescent – the Prologue and first Bonus Pattern in the Jubilæum eBook.
Available only as part of The Jubilæum Collection eBook on Ravelry, the Abraxas Crescent is a shawl that wraps nicely around your shoulders and stays in place due to the crescent. The hourglass pattern and interesting rib on this swingy crescent-shaped shawl are beautifully enhanced by Gallivant, a soft luxurious yarn that magically creates both drape and stitch definition.
